Jack N. Frost
Jack Frost and I were very good friends at RJR, and played tennis at FCC many summer afternoons. I stayed in close touch with him when he attended Duke and I studied at nearby UNC. Jack was one of the most confident people I have ever met. He applied only to Duke, with no apparent need for a backup plan. After we both graduated from college in 1967, I went off to Vietnam as a US Navy officer, and Jack earned his law degree at UNC. I lost touch with him until about 1990, when somehow I discovered that his law practice was in Plainfield, NJ, near a client of mine. We got together for dinner several times in the Newark area. I met his lovely wife Lorraine, who survived him when he passed away about 2006. Jack was a good friend in Winston-Salem, and still a good friend many years later, despite decades of no communication at all!
