Photos-50th Reunion

The main event for the weekend was the Saturday night Gala at the Womble Carlyle Suite of the BB&T Ballpark with the skyline of Winston-Salem in the background. During the day classmates joined for lunch at Bib's Downtown BBQ Restaurant on Fifth St. across from the main branch of the public library. In the afternoon a group visited the New Winston Museum to view a new documentary about the joining of Winston and Salem. 2013 is the 100th anniversary of Winston-Salem's origin.
Photos were taken by Wade Austin, Ken Dawson, David and Kate Bell.

But first, lunch at Bib's and lots of catching up.

Lunch at Bib's provided a chance to get a barbecue "fix".

In the spirit of getting ready to visit the New Winston Museum, here is Ed Turner leaving Bib's Downtown in style headed for the museum in his 1966 Ford Fairlane!

Jon Vickers hangs the banner first used at our 20th class reunion. Hey kids, that's 30 years ago. The banner was made by Anne Brownlee Hobgood who has kept it in her closet all that time.

Although Robin Beach could not be with us for the reunion, she had been a constant support for our class and for the Planning Team. She contributed many ideas and she shared many supportive words. We had hoped to have a "Facetime" connection with Robin at the close of the Sat. night event, but communication systems were not as good as we wished. Robin sent us her photo as she spoke to the reunion participants.
One way or another, it's great to see you Robin!
