Carolyn was my best friend in high school.  Like me, the 9th grade was our first year at Reynolds.  She moved here from Elizabeth City when her Mom re-married.  Her father had died 2 years earlier and this was a whole new beginning for her.  We found each other wandering the halls alone at the beginning of that year and became friends at once.  She got a car for her 16th birthday and there was no stopping us then.  I spent many nights over at her house on Stratford Rd.  She was so much fun to be with.  Carolyn went to Peace College in Raleigh and I went and stayed with her once.  After college and marriage, I lost track of Carolyn but I do know that she married a lawyer and lived in Atlanta.  I miss you Carolyn!!
