I was married in August of 1964 and moved to Spruce Pine, N.C in the spring of 1969. Then in the summer of 1981 we moved to Canada. Fall of 1987 I moved back to Winston. You can come back home. I now work part time at Bo Ty Florist and am also very active with my church and friends. I have two boys, Robert and Chris. Robert has two children. Taylor just turned 13 and Ethan is 8. I don't do any volunteer work now but did at hospital the last two years I lived in Canada and loved it. I enjoy gardening, reading, spending time with my two grandchildren and singing in the choir at church. I also help with sets and decorations for special events. One of my proudest moments was being there to see my grandcihildren, just after birth. I have fond memories of high school, remembering especially Janet Haynes Mathis going to my house for lunch our senior year and having dill pickle and potato chip sandwiches. I still like them! My goal for the future is to keep working part time as long as I can. |

I married John Buczek in 1968, and in my early years, worked as a banker and various other jobs including teaching the 9th grade. I travelled with the PGA Tour and helped run a golf shop in the summers. John and I have one daughter, Chase, who is 26. John is a professional golfer and finished 20th in the US Open. We have won several awards including being in the top 100 golf shops in the US and winning "Best PGA Golf Shop." I currently work as a potter and an artist and participate in creative endeavors of all kinds. I also enjoy volunteering, traveling, reading, and entertaining friends and family. I have many fond memories of our years at RJR!!!! |

I've been extremely blessed throughout my "post RJR life"! After graduating from East Carolina Univ I spent a couple of years in the Army as a pharmacy specialist (that's just how the Army does things) Married my wonderful wife, Ann in '67 and she's still tolerating me today --- Have two beautiful daughters, Kellie and Kim and six fantastic grandkids who all live in our same neighborhood. Worked with McLean Trucking about 14 years and transferred all over the country, coast to coast. Completed my carreer in transportation with J B Hunt Transport (out of Ark) and was fortunate to stay right here in the good old W-S area Enjoy volunteering now --- mostly with the local food pantry, Red Cross and elementary schools. Try to keep pushing myself to stay in half way decent shape --- and away from the table --- Have played in the Clemmons Moravian band many years (trumpet) and we have a great time cutting up My only request is that you not tell my wife all you know when you meet at the reunion (ha) -- Look forward to seeing everyone |

After RJR, I graduated from Guilford College and married my wife, Carol. I worked for the Winston-Salem police department for 28 years. In addition, I drove a tour bus for 7 years and a tractor trailer for 2 years and did tree work for 35 years. I currently work part time driving the activity bus for Bermuda Village in Clemmons, NC. We have 2 children, Bill 42 and Bryan 36 and 3 grandchildren (Brandon 13, John 8, and Travir 2). Carol and I have been married for 43 years and have lived in the same house in Clemmons for 35 years. We love living on the Yadkin River where we have nightly visits from coyotes, deer, raccoons, and more! I have hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine and enjoy fishing and spending time with my grandchildren. I volunteer at the Blumenthal Retirement Home, Second Harvest Food Bank, and St. Timothy's Church. I have fond memories of crazy antics during my RJR years! |

Following high school, I attended North Carolina State University and in the summer of 1967, I graduated with a B.S. in Engineering, married Robbie Anderson of Boones Mill, Virginia and joined the Air Force. Our first assignment was Space and Missile Systems Organization in Los Angeles. After 26 years of active duty (predominantly in missile and space business) and 14 moves around the country, I retired, from the Air Force, in Northern Virginia after completing a second tour at the Pentagon. I joined a small woman-owned consulting firm (Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama) and am still a consultant to the Air Force. Robbie and I have four children (two sons and two daughters) and four grand children (two boys and two girls). One family is in Saint Louis but the other three are Richmond, VA, Northern Virginia and Maryland. We have moved full-time to Kure Beach, North Carolina (just south of Carolina Beach). If you are ever down that way, stop by, 181 SeaWatch Way. |
