After I graduated from RJ Reynolds High School, I went to work for Southern Bell Telephone.  I was married a year later an moved to Japan for 3 years (Ex-husb in Air Force) My first two children, Robert and Andrea were born there.  We moved back stateside in 1968, living in Plattsburgh, NY for a few months before getting out of the military and returning to Winston-Salem.  In 1971, my youngest son, Brent was born.

I was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with my children for several years.  I went to work part time during income tax season for a few years before going to work at Wachovia full-time in 1979.  In 1981, I became a single parent and after much encouragement from my co-workers, enrolled in college through the evening program at High Point College, Madison Park Campus.  Two years later, I met my wonderful husband, Richard Williamson (originally from GA) through my cousin and her husband who live in FL and we were married June 6, 1987.  He retired from the Navy in 1986.

I left Wachovia beginning a new career when I went to work for Truliant Federal Credit Union (formerly AT&T Family Federal CU) in September of 1987.  I began as a receptionist, then teller, loan officer/member service specialist and then Member Financial Center Manager.  I retired as manager of the GMAC branch of Truliant on December 1, 2007.

Since my retirement, my husband and I have been able to do some traveling.  We enjoy going to visit my oldest son in Jacksonville, FL and Richard's family, a son in Jackson, NJ, daughter, in Warner Robins, GA and his youngest son lives in Atlanta area as does his 92 year old mom.  Together, we have 12 beautiful grandchildren!   I also enjoy silk flower arranging, cooking, and being in the choir & handbells at Unity Moravian Church.

I have been so blest to have been part of our RJR Class of 1963 Reunion Planning team.  It has been so much fun reconnecting with my HS Classmates.  I have made many new dear friendships.  I am so looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion!
